The Physician Editor position requires an 80 to 90% FTE commitment for editorial work, a broad understanding of clinical issues, and an interest in analyzing the literature. The position provides the opportunity to remain clinically active while spending most of your time crafting clear content, reviewing the literature, and discussing the impact of new research on clinical practice with our expert contributors.
Requirements
- Medical Degree
- Board Certification/Eligibility in Adult Endocrinology
- Clinical experience in an academic setting after residency
- A valid medical license in at least one U.S. state
- Impeccable communication skills: verbal, writing, and listening
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at different skill levels
- Self-motivated, with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to give and receive feedback effectively
- Interest in critical analysis of the medical literature (skills can be learned on the job)
- Ability to spend 80 to 90% of the work week on editorial work
- Interest in and ability to maintain clinical work (10 to 20%)
