Principal Clinical Content-Physician - UpToDate®, Physician Editor (Nephrology)

The Physician Editor (Nephrology) position requires an 80 to 90% FTE commitment for editorial work, a broad understanding of clinical issues, and an interest in analyzing the literature. For the right person, this is a unique opportunity to impact the practice of medicine throughout the United States and around the world.

Requirements

• Medical Degree
• Board Certification/Eligibility in Nephrology
• Clinical experience in an academic setting after residency
• A valid medical license in at least one U.S. state
• Impeccable communication skills: verbal, writing, and listening
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at different skill levels
• Self-motivated, with excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to give and receive feedback effectively
• Interest in critical analysis of the medical literature (skills can be learned on the job)
• Ability to spend 80 to 90% of the work week on editorial work
• Interest in and ability to maintain clinical work (10 to 20%)
