The Physician Editor (Cardiology) position requires an 80 to 90% FTE commitment for editorial work, a broad understanding of clinical issues, and an interest in analyzing the literature.
Requirements
- Medical Degree
- Board Certification/Eligibility in Cardiology
- Clinical experience in an academic setting after residency
- A valid medical license in at least one U.S. state
- Impeccable communication skills: verbal, writing, and listening
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at different skill levels
- Self-motivated, with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to give and receive feedback effectively
- Interest in critical analysis of the medical literature
- Ability to spend 80 to 90% of the work week on editorial work
- Interest in and ability to maintain clinical work (10 to 20%)
