Director of Development – Parent and Family Philanthropy

Rice University is seeking a Director of Development – Parent and Family Philanthropy to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects for current students, with a focus on gifts in the $100K to $4.9M range. This role will develop fundraising strategies, manage donor cultivation, and build a strategic plan for the region. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, proven in securing major gifts, and able to integrate prospects with academic partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Valid driver’s license with no moving violations and at-fault accidents in past 36 months
• No prior DWI or DUI convictions or at-fault accidents within 5 years
• Valid Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
